coloring the sky
pendants of the moon
adorned with light

rain springs
the lineage of life 
leap up-
rooted in heaven
and the eyes of a child

summer clouds
swing above the ground
anchored in the sea where the sun goes down
and falls

beneath the waves
as a billion stars applaud
the winnowing of bone
on the silent breath of God
